Yoga Teacher for Vinyasa-Based Heated Yoga & Sculpt Studio (Royal Oak, Michigan)

Yoga Six Royal Oak is seeking passionate and skilled Sculpt fitness instructors for our heated yoga and sculpt studio. This role is not just about yoga with weights; it involves leading an intense, cross-training workout that utilizes dumbbells, blocks, and body weight exercises to enhance metabolic activity and build lean muscle mass.

As a YogaSix instructor, you will be expected to create personal connections with each student, ensuring a dynamic and motivating class experience that reflects your personality while adhering to YogaSix standards. You will be responsible for setting up the classroom appropriately, providing top-notch instruction, and following up with students after class to foster community and connection.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to provide exceptional client service and demonstrate the ability to teach safe, fun, and creative classes that cater to both novice and seasoned practitioners. We value instructors who are committed to their own growth and development, eager to learn, and willing to engage in conversations that enhance the class experience.

The role requires a fitness accreditation or a 200-hour yoga training certification, along with at least 6 months of teaching experience . Strong verbal communication skills in English are essential, as is the ability to physically demonstrate exercises and monitor students' movements in a heated environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Arrive to studio a minimum of 30 minutes prior to class start time
• Create a personal connection with each student
• Create a class experience that shows your personality and skills while adhering to the Yoga Six standards and guidelines for each of the six core class types
• Set up class room appropriately: Props, Mat Spacing, Music, Lighting 
• Provide top notch class instruction
• Follow up with students after class
• Clean studio space
• Build community and connection

Position Requirements:

• Outgoing personality with a strong desire to provide exceptional client service
• Genuine ability to connect with complete strangers on a personal level
• Willingness to grow and remain a student forever
• A sense of humor
• Demonstrate the ability to teach a safe, fun, and creative class with a genuine interest in student success, whether novice or seasoned practitioner
• fitness accreditation or a 200-hour yoga training certification, along with at least 6 months of teaching experience
• at least 6 months teaching experience preferred
• Current CPR Certification

Screened candidates will be invited to attend a preliminary audition.

Compensation : Class rate varies on experience/ability/formats. Ranges between $20 and $30/hour.
